Model predictive control for simultaneous planning of container and vehicle routes

چکیده
Transport of containers on a-modal bookings enables transport suppliers to route the in accordance with current state synchromodal network. At same time, it providers their vehicles real time based need for transportation. The interdependency routes and has not yet been discussed explicitly literature. This paper presents a model predictive controller that determines which combination trucks, trains, ships use transporting what empty full trucks should as one integrated problem. impacts this problem opposed only considering are shown experiments simulated hinterland network performed both proposed method solely containers. results indicate an improved vehicle utilization. Furthermore, approach allows more realistic constraints costs.
